A place where women come to creatively, support & grow with each other in production

One day unexpectedly, I received a phone call from one sister and a text from another sister, informing me of this women group  called “SISTERHOOD NYC.”  The group had just begin shooting short films.  I previously did some work with both ladies and they both thought that I would be a good asset for the group.  I was elated upon hearing of the opportunity, because I was not as active in the production field, due to working a 9-5 job.  I immediately accepted the invitation to see what this group was about, and I LOVED IT.  The thought of an all female production crew was always a dream of mine and finally it has manifested, thanks to  Hazel Dolphy of Dolphy Productions.  SISTERHOOD NYC is a place where Women come to be creative, supportive and to grow with each other in production as a whole.

SISTERHOOD NYC is for any women in the business that is an actress, director, assistant director, location manager, production manager, director of photography /cinematographer, sound designer /supervising sound editor, production sound mixer, boom operator, composer, art director, costume designer, make up & hair designer, storyboard artist, choreographer, fight choreographer, photographer, agent, manager, publicist or entertainment lawyer.

Actress, Director, Writer and Producer Hazel Dolphy of Dolphy Productions, founded “SISTERHOOD NYC” to assist women in entertainment with a supportive and creative forum.  Sisterhood NYC is a creative group that meets 2 x a month to discuss all facets in the film industry and to develop content that is shot collectively by the members and entered into film festivals.  Hazel stated, “Women should support other women.  This is the group to show that woman can work together and celebrate in the spirit of support, admiration and TEAM WORK!”

Two of the many advantages with SISTERHOOD NYC is the ability to build your behind the scene skills and IMDB credits at the same time!  Every member serves as an intricate part of the monthly productions, which will assist in getting their talents noticed by their peers and beyond.

The second short is called “The First Lady,” and now we are discussing what will be our next short for June/July.  Our Ladies are talented and very supportive of each other.  Understand fully that, SISTERHOOD NYC – Creative Group is a force to be reckoned with!
