Foot in Film – inspiring people to get a foot in the door

Foot in Film aims to provide helpful tips and support for film and media graduates, students and people trying to get a foot in the door in the creative industries, especially in film.

We know how hard it is to ‘make it’ in the industry and even manage to get a work experience placement or an internship. The competition is so high and there are very few paid lower level jobs in the media. Sometimes, you need a bit of encouragement and to be pointed in the right direction. Whether this be by some tips on what you need to include in your CV or 1-2-1 mentoring.

Everyone is different and needs help with various aspects of their job search. It may be that you need specific skills in order to climb the career ladder but don’t know where you can get the training you need in order to progress.

With funding cuts and agencies that help people in the creative industries diminishing, we want to help, even if it’s just as a sounding board when everyone else around you is telling you to give up and get a ‘proper job’.
